Coach Lee Sung-yong is confident in predicting the exclusion of the SSG 5?"We'll be the dark horse"

SSG Landers coach Lee Sung-yong threw his hat into the ring to create a "reversal" that reverses expectations and evaluations for the 2025 season.온라인카지노

SSG, led by head coach Lee Soo-yong, began training on the first day of the second spring camp at Kochinda Stadium in Okinawa, Japan on the 24th. The schedule lasted only until the morning as they had a forced march to move from Florida to Incheon on the 22nd and from Incheon to Okinawa the day before.

"Players did a great job in Florida. From now on, checking your physical condition is the most important thing," Lee said in an interview with reporters. "I'm planning to reduce the amount of training because it's cold in Okinawa. Instead, I asked them to play practice matches as if they were in the real season."

When Lee made his debut season as a head coach, Lee received his report card with 72-70-2 draw and a winning percentage of 0.507. As his performance in the pennant race with the KT Wiz was tied, the team played a game to decide fifth place for the first time in the KBO league.

However, SSG did not have an "autumn baseball" against KT. On Oct. 1 last year, when the team faced off KT in a single game, the team suffered a come-from-behind loss of 4-5 in the fifth place game. In the bottom of the eighth inning when the team was leading 4-2, the team threw a super-strong pitch by fielding native ace Kim Kwang-hyun, who pitched 97 pitches three days ago as a starting pitcher, but the team ended up allowing a come-from-behind three-run home run.

Coach Lee said, "Last year's painful experience has been a great medicine for the entire team to prepare for the 2025 season. Above all, we highly value the momentum and performance that the entire team showed at the end of the 2024 season.

SSG ranked No. 1 in monthly win rate with 13 wins, five losses and one draw in September last year. Up until August when it had a loss of -9 in the margin of victory with eight wins and 17 losses, it seemed as if it had been eliminated from the competition to advance to the semifinals early on, but displayed strong fighting spirit until the end.

"I think our team achieved half of the success last year. We didn't make it to the postseason through that one game (final match for fifth place), but we are confident that the loss will nourish us again. We are thinking that SSG will become a little stronger," Lee said.

Coach Lee Soo-yong is not paying attention to external factors that do not give a high evaluation to SSG's power. SSG kept its flagship hitters Choi Jeong and hold king Noh Kyung-eun, who were internal free agents during the Stove League last year, but failed to strengthen their power. The reality is that they are excluded from the top five in the rankings ahead of the 2025 season.

However, Lee said, "I predicted the 7th place internally before the start of the 2024 season. However, we competed in the semi-finals until the end," adding, "I think everyone in our team will be considered low this year as well. Still, I think there will be a turnaround."

"One of our players had an interview. I saw him say, 'A assessment is just an assessment,'" he said. "KIA is unrivaled at the moment, but other teams are likely to have fun and play together. I think SSG will be a dark horse."

Noh Kyung also said, "I feel good when I hear that I'm a favorite, but it's true that I feel pressured," adding, "Fans can see our team halfway this year, but I think it's better to go into the season and be at the top of the list at this time."
